Tractor visit

The children were very lucky the other week and had the chance to explore a tractor, they even got to sit inside it.  The children were very excited.

iPads and beebots

The children had great fun this afternoon using the beebots and iPads.  The children using the beebots had to get them around their beebot mats they made the other week 

The children who were using the iPads had to programme the beebots to either get to the flower or round up animals.

Next week the children will swap other and try the other piece of computing equipment.

Introduction to transport

The children spent this afternoon designing maps of the bee-bots to travel along. They had to think about what they where going to travel along, on the road, rail track or a river.  They then had to think about what the beebot would see on its journey. The children came up with some super ideas including forests, playgrounds, houses and animals in fields.  The children also had to work to together to complete their maps as they worked in groups of mixed reception and year 1. 

Next week the children will be putting the maps together and getting the bee-bots to travel along them and visit the different places they thought of.
